Tracey Lovett
Kerataconus affected Tracey’s sight in both eyes for 10 years. She received a corneal transplant in her right eye in 2005 and in her left eye in 2011. She is seeing 20/20 with her right eye while her left eye is still healing. Without the surgeries, Tracey thinks she would have had to quit her job and been legally blind at only 33 years old. “My sight has sustained my independence!”
Tracey now enjoys sewing, reading and gardening again. She is very grateful for her restored sight and appreciates the beauty in everything around her: landscapes, flowers and her great nephew. “The donors are amazing. Without the tissue, I realize my life would be very different now.”
