Ryan Snow-Trenkle

Ryan began having vision problems in one eye around the age of 18. As he lost sight in that eye, he was diagnosed with keratoconus. He spent about 12 years legally blind before having a corneal transplant to restore his sight. He now sees 20/30 with the stitches still in his eye, and hopes his vision will improve further.

As an active person, Ryan has noticed a dramatic improvement in things he likes to do such as play basketball and golf. He also enjoys seeing 3D movies with his restored sight - a mindblowing experience! "I see and experience the world with a whole new perspective," Ryan said. "I wish I hadn't waited so long. The fear of surgery and follow-ups caused me to delay something that would have improved my life a long time ago."
