Ruth Keenan
Ruth had cataracts and an inherited type of corneal dystrophy that caused her left cornea to wrinkle and harden. In December 2010 she received a cornea transplant. "Until I had the surgery, I didn’t realize how bad my vision was and what I wasn’t seeing for years." Ruth suffered no complications and is sees much clearer now. "When you think of a transplant it can be scary but, it was a good experience."
