Eric Evans
He was diagnosed with keratoconus as a teenager, but it didn’t cause problems until he was in his late 20s. Evans then had to change his life and athletic movements to account for the loss of depth perception due to the disease. After successful corneal transplant surgeries in both eyes, he is able to see and do what he wants.
His photo in the woods is a perfect example. He was in Montreal in June 2010 to compete in the Pan Am Masters Weightlifting Championships and was relaxing with friends at Mount Royal Park when he noticed a cross on a hill. Being a religious person, he wanted to get to the cross and hiked through the woods to get there.
